OBEDIENCE AND CONFORMATION TRAINING

Training is a must for all dogs.  Be careful in your choice of classes and trainers.  Visit the facility, talk with the trainer  and observe classes before enrolling.  Many trainers will say they know the Bouvier and lump then into the guard dog category and  will use this method of training.  The Bouvier is stubborn and soft and doesn’t need a strong training procedure. They respond to  a positive approach and motivational training quickly.

Conformation training can begin at approximately five months of age.  Once again, the training should be motivational and the  puppy should have fun. He should be able to perform with enthusiasm.
